About "Cap'n" Tony Morgan
"Cap'n" Tony Morgan was born Anthony Lynn Bergmeier
on August 9, 1968. He was raised on a farm/ranch just outside Longford, Kansas(Yes!! That is right next door to nowhere!!).
He learned the joy and pain of hard work and was instilled with a firm belief...any job worth doing,is worth doing right.
He out-grew the former, but still believes in the latter. He attended Longford Elementary and Junior High getting high marks
in all his classes, then went on to Clay Center Community High School where he graduated near the top of his class in 1986.
After high school, he went on to try his hand at many different things but none really made him happy. Until one day while
tending bar(Yes! Just one of the many things he excelled at!), a friend dropped in for a cold one. After hearing Tony paging
people to the phone, the friend commented that he had a great "mic" voice and suggested he give radio broadcasting
a try. Tony blew him off...but the very next day that same friend called Tony to come down to the radio station where said
friend worked and audition for a position as a part-time DJ!! And that is how "Cap'n" Morgan found his calling.
In his early radio career he worked in classic-to-current rock, Top 40(Hot AC/CHR), and classic rock formats. He continually
honed his on-air and production skills, as well as developing an understanding of the radio/radio advertising business. In
the latter part of 2001, "Cap'n" Morgan put his skills on the market for the benefit of any and all who will do
business with him.
